Bombalurina is defenitely the "sex kitten" of the Jellicle tribe. She can get the attention of practically any tom, and
she knows it. The only possible exception to this would be
Rum Tum Tugger, who snubbs her in his song. Of course, it could be that the two simply like to play hard to get with each other. They look
like they would be idealy suited for each other.
She is an assertive personality, and looks like the take-charge type. Bombaluria has either a best friend or a sister relationship
with Demeter, a similar looking queen. The two stick very close to each other throughout the production. Bombalurina acts very protective
of her friend, and is the one who pulls her away from Grizabella when the Glamour cat comes on stage. She is also believed to have had a relationship with Macavity.
Bombalurina appears to be one of the more popular characters among fans of CATS, probably due to her striking red
color, sexy dancing, her strong personality, and the tendency for casting directors to hire good actresses/dancers for the
roll.
