"I'm so glad I'm not stuck at home, Misto," she said.

 

"I bet you are," Mistofolees replied, "Everybody can't wait to see you. Most of them can't believe you stood up to Macavity like that."

 

"Why?"

 

"Why?! Because there's no telling what he would've done to you. He's evil, but when it comes to queens, he's ineffable."

 

"Well, I did it for Pouncival. He was in trouble, and the only way..." Pixie started.

 

"I know, I know. Was for you to give yourself up to Macavity. They know that, but..." Mistofolees' voice trailed off.

 

"But what?"

 

"But we've never seen anyone actually give themselves up to Macavity. It was just really brave and I think it threw most of the tribe off. Especially the other couples. I think it made them all think about whether they would do that for their mate," replied Mistofolees.

 

"Well, I hope I didn't cause any tension or trouble in the tribe," said Pixie, "I just did what I thought was right."

 

"I know, but the important thing is that you're okay and so is Pouncival," said Mistofolees, "Let's not focus on that experience though. Let's get your mind on going back and having some fun today, okay?"

 

"Okay. Sounds like a plan," replied Pixie.

Before they knew it, they were standing in the middle of the junkyard. Munkustrap was the first to notice them. "Hey guys!" he said when he finally reached them.

 

"Hey Munku!" Mistofolees replied.

 

"Well well well, look who's back! How are you feeling, Pixie?" Munkustrap asked.

 

"I'm much better, especially since I'm here," Pixie replied.

 

"That's good to hear."

 

"Hey Pixie!" Pixie and the two males turned to see Jemima and Rum Tum Tugger running toward them.

 

Pixie yelled, "Hey Guys!" running to meet them. "How are you guys?"

 

"We're good, but how are you feeling?" Jemima asked.

 

"O, I'm fine," Pixie replied.

 

"Glad to hear it," Rum Tum Tugger replied.

 

"Jemima, do you mind leaving us alone for a second?" Pixie asked.

 

"Sure, I have to talk to Misto anyways," Jemima replied.

 

"Thanks," Pixie said with a smile.

 

"What's up, Pix?" Rum Tum Tugger asked.

 

"Tugger, I just wanted to thank you for being there for me when Pounicval was gone," Pixie said.

 

"No problem. We're all friends here," Tugger replied, "But more importantly, we're family." They smiled at each other.

That night Pixie stayed at her lair. She was almost asleep when Pouncival walked in. "Hey," he said.

 

"Hey," Pixie replied.

 

"How are you feeling?"

 

"I'm better, especially now that I've seen everyone again."

 

"Good. I still can't believe you gave yourself up to...to...to him like that."

 

"It was nothing. I did it because I love you, Pounicval," Pixie replied.

 

"I love you too, Pixie, but you should really be getting some rest," Pouncival replied. He looked at Pixie and she was already asleep. He layed down beside her and fell asleep.
